My Blog

Welcome to the blog, my place of reflection, of thoughts, well actually at times of rambles and musings really. I've done a blog off and on for a number of years but it's always been separate from my main site until now. Finally I get to fully integrate everything in one place and it's really quite exciting.

I make no promises of revelations or incredible insight, no certainty that things will make sense or even be spelled correctly for that matter. I can guarantee that they are all my own thoughts (as far as I'm aware) and I will do my best to not besmirch anyone (well not too much) and not to just blog for no apparent reason other than of course i want to get something off my chest or it amuses me.... it may even from time to time amuse you, hey and if it does you can comment on the site and / or on facebook or any number of places... go one, you know you want to read more....

I don't know, I'm sure it's not just a me thing but maybe it is. I seem to wander through my music collection from time to time and rediscover fab music (important note: Fab, like beauty is in the eye or ear in this case of the beholder and therefore my opinion is always correct!).

imageToday I was wondering through my iTunes and came across multiple HORSE albums. Now maybe I'm a little biased, you see HORSE started as a band but has just become Horse McDonald and is from Tay in Scotland. She's seriously got one of the best voices you'll ever here. I went to a few of her concerts in the sprawling metropolis that is Kirkcauldy (pronounced kircody) when I was living back in sunny Scotland.image

The thing that struck me was the clarity and purity of her voice, at each concert there were no big cleaver stages or distractions, just her, a guitar, may be a drummer and a few strings for certain songs. Man can she sing, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up!

So how happy was I when I stumbled across the songs again today?.. frankly, it could only be better with Ice Cream!

Go do a search on You Tube or the link to the site, you wont be sorry...
